Al Ahly took the game on his own from the kick-off and opened the scoring with a header from Amr El Soleya, following a corner kick from Ali Maaloul. Far from being discouraged, the Zamalek players get several chances, before equalizing by Shikabala, after a great individual action. Party of the right, the captain of White knights avoids two defenders and, from outside the penalty area, unleashes a shot that ends in the opposite corner of Mohamed El Shenawy’s goal.

After the locker room, the intensity rises a notch. Opportunities follow one another at both ends of the field. Alone facing goal, Hussein El Shahat (Al Ahly) first found the post. In the process, Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” (Zamalek) in turn hits wood, this time on a long shot.

As the two teams head into extra time, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” tilts the victory in the camp of Red Devils. At the entrance of the penalty area, the attacking midfielder Al Ahly controls the ball with his knee and puts in a powerful volley that leaves no chance for Abou Gabal, Zamalek’s goalkeeper.
