  • Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium to host #ClubWC opening match
  • The final will be played in the Cité de l’Education
  • All three venues set to host Qatar 2022 ™ matches

The 2020 FIFA Club World Cup ™ will take place in Qatar from February 1-11, 2021, at the stadiums of the City of Education, Ahmad Bin Ali and Khalifa International.

The opening match between Qatari champion Al Duhail and Auckland City (New Zealand) will kick off on February 1 at 8:30 p.m. local time (6:30 p.m. CET) at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, while the final, scheduled for February 11 at 9:00 p.m. local time, will take place at the Cité de l’Education stadium.

The Ahmad Bin Ali stadium was inaugurated on December 18 – Qatar’s national day -, exactly two years before the final of the FIFA World Cup ™, while that of the City of Education was opened in June 2020 and that Khalifa International underwent renovations completed in 2017. The three venues will also host matches for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ™.

In addition to Auckland City, Oceania qualifier Al Ahly and Bayern Munich will represent CAF and UEFA respectively. Ulsan Hyundai FC will represent AFC while Tigres UANL is the latest club to validate their ticket after winning the Concacaf Champions League. Finally, the Libertadores final scheduled for the end of January will determine the team that will carry the CONMEBOL banner.

The competition schedule is available here. The teams involved will know their respective opponents at the end of the draw scheduled in Zurich on January 19 at 4:00 p.m. (CET).

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, FIFA and the host country will provide the necessary guarantees for the health and safety of all participants.
