Past in the FIFA Futsal World Cup

Serbia’s first qualification for the FIFA Futsal World Cup dates back to 2012 in Thailand. After skillfully negotiating the group stage, the Slavs validated their ticket to the round of 16. Unfortunately, their journey was then interrupted by Argentina, one of the heavyweights of the competition. For their second participation in the event, the Serbs hope to do better in Lithuania than in Thailand.

On the way to Lithuania

The least we can say is that the course of Serbia has not been easy. Second in her group behind Spain, she was initially able to celebrate her participation in the play-offs. Opposed to Finland, the Serbs won 1-0 at home, before snatching a spectacular draw (5-5) on the ground of their opponents to force the doors of the final phase.
