FIFA confirms that FC Bayern Munich player Thomas Müller has tested positive for Covid-19 in a standard PCR test.

In accordance with the medical procedures in force at the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, the player has been placed in isolation and will not be able to play in the final between his team and the UANL Tigers, scheduled for today.

Protecting the health and safety of those involved in the FIFA Club World Cup is a priority for FIFA and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). That is why, with the support of the host country, Qatar, FIFA and the LOC have implemented a comprehensive program that is based on the risk-based approach of the World Health Organization.
