The first day of zones 3, 4 and 5 of the qualifiers for the FIFAe Club World Cup took place on 17 and 18 December. If the favorites responded, a few newcomers created a surprise. On this occasion, we are offering you an overview of the outstanding results of the various conferences in these three zones. Zones 1 and 2 will start their journey to the 2021 FIFAe Club World Cup in January.

In a particularly lively conference, the Saudi training Tuwaiq eSports Club ends the first day of competition with the title of best team in Division 1.

Among the best teams in Division 1, there are some regulars of the FIFAe Club World Cup, such as VFL Bochum, McDonald’s Riders, Team Vitality, NEO, Olympique Lyonnais and Ajax. At the same time, the RBLZ and NEO are the only two teams still undefeated.

Fnatic, one of the favorites of the event, had a good run before falling to McDonald’s Riders in the final match of Conference 2.

Behind Team Gullit, Brondby, the most successful team in the history of the competition, also convinced in Conference 5. The Danes therefore remain well placed to bring the record number of appearances in the finals to four units.

In Conference 14, Astralis impressed the majority of observers, thanks to a shocking duo formed by former club world champion “Ustun” and 2016 world champion August Rosenmeier. With such a workforce, this team can nurture great ambitions.

A newcomer to the world of eSports, Borussia Dortmund has reached Division 2 of Conference 2, after having obtained the title of best team in Division 3.

FC Basel are openly aiming for a third participation in the finals of the FIFAe Club World Cup. This first week of competition allowed him to take a step in the right direction. Inter eSports, despite their inexperience, also stood out by losing just one match.

Wolves eSports and R10 Team, Ronaldinho’s team, had to fight hard, despite their status as favorites. Their setbacks, however, say a lot about the excellent level of play in this area. Without a doubt, they will be even more motivated during the next days, scheduled at the start of the year.

Zone 6

Conference 1 KRÜ esports

Reigning club world champion Complexity Gaming fielded the same team as last year. Despite this dream casting, the American team lost to KRÜ esports and then, in the second half of the table, to Ajax esports. The club recently founded by Kun Agüero was not satisfied with this prestigious victory. Its good results even earned it the title of best team in Division 1 in zone 6.
